What surfer inspires you the most? I think Rasta’s surfing with his super cool, chilled style and, I am inspired by watching all the girls learning to surf at the Billabong Girls Get Out There Days because they are all having so much fun, laughing and giving it a go. That’s what surfing is all about.
What music psychs you up before a heat or lifestyle event? Basically I think anything. Sometimes when the surf is looking fun and clean something cruisy like maybe Ash Mannix. Then when the surf is a little cold I really need dance music like Kanye West or beyond.
What defines good style in the surf? Keeping a smooth flowing style. Doing hard turns yet making then look like a piece of cake.
What training do you do? For Surfing: I surf as much as I can. Practice makes perfect. I also do a lot of swimming and yoga. I like going for long run/walks to check different breaks.
A phrase I use far too often is... maybe ' very true'
I wish people would take more notice of... Helping out other people. It is so easy to get caught up in what you are doing and not noticing other peoples struggles. I know I can't help everyone but I'd like to think that the little things I do make some sort of a difference.
Thoughts on Women’s Surfing: Some girls are on fire right now, like the girls on my team! I admire all the girls competing on the circuit it takes great courage and determination.
The most surprising thing that ever happened to me was... Finding out that I had a cousin on the Pro Jnr Series. I am adopted and he was from my birth family side!
The ideal night out is...would maybe start with watching the Simpsons (I am still a kid at heart), maybe some mexican food and go out dancing with all my friends.
You know me as a surfer/model/actress but in a different kind of life I'd...be a ballet dancer, I used to dance when I was younger and achieved a highly commended with the Royal Academy School of Dance London.
The most favourite place you have been travelling...mmm thats a hard one..I loved my trip with Billabong to Fiji, the water was so clear. I really loved going to the USA however, I hope to go to France & New York soon so possibly this will change.
What's the water temperature like where you live..? mm Sydney is not too bad however in the winter time it's no word of a lie really hard to deal with.
What's your favourite thing about surfing..? Everything. I love being out on a summer’s day with friends just clowning around on mals. I love being the only person out on a cold winters day with a pod of dolphins. The friends you make, the places you go. Surfing and the ocean is just an amazing thing you have in your life.
What are your other obsessions..? I love dancing!! I could dance for hours non stop! I also have an obsession with jewellery!
What goals do you have outside of surfing..? Well after finishing my Presenting & Screen Actress Course at Nida, I would really love to do a little bit more presenting, interviewing and some acting. I have been in some TV shows as a guest actress & surf stunt double in Home & Away & Blue Water High Series.
In a nutshell... My philosophy is this...Difficult takes a day, impossible takes a week. The only person telling you that you really can’t do something is you. Allow your self to be amazing!
