Favourite place to surf: Anywhere where the water is warm and the people around you have smiles on their faces. Indonesia, Polynesia, Maldives and of course Australia.

A phrase I use too often is... Everyone and everything around you is a teacher!

I wish people would take more notice of... Others and see that our life is a gift, we all share the same earth. I wish everyone would appreciate our beautiful planet more.

The most suprising thing that ever happened to me was... An old lady on our city streets came up to me and gave me a flower. It really touched me and inspired me to be more open and giving.

The ideal night out is... A night out with positive people.

You know me as a surfer, but in a different kind of life I'd... I'd be more in touch with my artistic side.
I love health and medicine, cultures and different languages.

The most favourite place you have been to in the last 12 months... At home with my family. Home is where the heart is, home to me is anywhere I feel JOY!!

What's the water temperature like where you live..? It changes all the time, we experience warm and cold.

What's your favourite thing about surfing..? The freedom you have in the water, being in toune with yourself, close with nature and the feeling it gives you when you can share it with people you love.

What are your goals outside of surfing..? To push myself, to fight with and love life at the same time, never give up.

No matter where I end up, I hope that I will feel fulfilled within myself and in all that I achieved.

What surfer inspires you the most..? My brother Luke Cheadle, he's doing it on his own and is just a dam good surfer with style and ease.

In a nutshell... My philosophy is this... If you have love in your heart you are rich! Have grattitude, give grattitude and your life with amount to great things.

As the undeniable face of Billabong Australia, Ashley Cheadle has had an enviable last few years traveling to exotic locations for fashion shoots, making appearances at special events throughout Australia, appearing in fashion shows, fashion spreads and magazine interviews… it’s hard to believe she’s so young.

Catapulted into the spotlight at just 16, Ashley is still coming to terms with her hectic life. But it wasn’t modeling she was always interested in, surfing is where it began for Ash. Surfing, is something she holds closely to her as it was all she was ever brought up with; it’s her Dad’s religion, her brother’s passion and even mum surfed in younger years.

Ashley’s family of five (she also has a younger, very active brother Josh, who’s 12) is a very tight unit, supportive in all she does, adding to the way Ash embraces life.

Following in the footsteps of Dad and older brother (Billabong rider) Luke, Ashley began competing at age 12. And soon this girl from small town Culburra, NSW picked up a sponsorship at 13 for her surfing talents and was later discovered by Billabong as the ultimate Billabong Girl.

It’s a large title to live up to, but Ashley cruises through life hoping to inspire others. She’s down to earth, funny, and probably one of the sweetest girls you’ll ever meet.
