Billabong’s Girls Get Out There Tour is an awesome way to kickstart your summer. Girls aged 12 years and older can secure their place in the line up for only $55, which includes a 90-minute surf lesson (run by accredited Surfing Australia surf schools), a 45-minute Zumba class, live entertainment, competitions, giveaways, a mobile Photo Booth, and the chance to meet Billabong pro surfers like Bec Woods and Paige Hareb.

A brand new and super exciting addition to the Girls Get Out There for 2010 is a Zumba lesson with Billabong Ambassador, Alana Brennan. The latest dance craze to hit Australia, Alana can’t wait to bring Zumba to the beach. “I love the dancing,” says Alana. “I love the impact it has on people, it makes people happy and it’s also a great new way to stay healthy.”


Girls Get Out There aims to bring girls together with their friends for a great day of fun, in a safe, active and healthy environment. Also set to join us on the beach to hang out will be Billabong ambassadors Paige Houden and Rebecca Ronald, Olympic snowboarder Steph Hickey, and Save the Whales crusader Skye Bortolli. “We are so excited for this year’s line up of surf, Zumba and fun, and for girls Australia wide to join us for a positive and active day out amongst some of the stars,” says Billabong Girls Marketing Manager Kate McGrath.

All the girls will leave the beach with a lasting reminder of their GGOT day with an exclusive Billabong show bag filled with goodies and worth more than $70! There’s also plenty of great prizes to be won at each stop on the tour, including DSCW310 Cyber-shot cameras and the new W series cordless Walkman MP3 player – all from Sony.

As well as dancing up a storm on the beach and ripping it up the surf, this year, one lucky girl and three of her friends will win a trip to the home of Billabong! Flying Virgin Blue, the girls will stay for three nights on the Gold Coast and score new bikinis courtesy of a shopping spree in the Billabong retail store!

The Billabong Bus will be road-tripping south from Queensland, kicking off in Bundaberg on the 23rd of September, then hitting Yamba, Terrigal, Bondi and Cronulla before rounding out the east coast tour in Ocean Grove on the 3rd of October. West Australian girls won’t miss out, with the GGOT tour combining with Australia Day celebrations on Trigg Beach on the 25th of January, 2010.
