Travel Diary: The Fantastic Noodles Pro Junior in South Oz
Stepping off the plane I felt a little tired but ready for an action packed week of the Fantastic Noodles Pro Junior in South Australia. I pulled out my phone and texted Dimity Stoyle, my travel buddy and asked "have you landed yet?" And within a minute I turned around and saw "Dim sim" and her parents Gale and Ron coming down the elevator.
Excited as we were knowing that the waves were going to be pumping today we had to still pick up our baggage and hire car. It was an hour and a half down to Victor Harbour in the car, but time flew as we listened to Dim's latest music collection. We went straight to Waitpinga, which is a really punchy beach break that picks up heaps of swell. We saw the corduroy lines fanning in towards Victor Harbour and knew that this was going to be an epic session.

The contest was held at Middleton Beach and Waitpinga throughout the four days and the girls finished out at Middleton in clean one to two feet of surf in really fun little lefts. There was always something to laugh about while we were in Victor Harbour wether it was the random stops in the middle of the road for sheep or we were just passed the point of hyperthermia that it started to get funny. I was lucky enough to make it through all of my heats to the final where I sparred off with Arini Mason who finished second. I was stoked with the result because that meant I had back to back firsts in South Oz!

The week finished off on an even better note though with a visit to the Adelaide Zoo to see the newest instalment of panda cubs, Wang Wang and Funi.

It was really fun but not complete without a visit to Haigh's Chocolate Factory in the afternoon, this is my second chocolate factory visit in less than a month. It was to die for haha but well deserved haha.
