Office music

Here in the marketing hub at Billabong HQ there is constantly music blaring from one computer if not two. Taking turns of running through iTunes playlists is a daily occurrence which can be anything from rap and hip hop to hardcore rock and roll, 80s/90s classics, the unearthed talents of Triple J or a slow melody from Sarah Blasko.

Music adds a different dimension to our workplace which often sees a few, if not most, bopping away, tapping a foot or quietly singing to themselves. So what are you listening to at work, on the TV or on your iPod? How influential is music in your life and do you think its important in everyday life?

I listen to the good ol local radio at work. Working in a professional office where music isnt exactly believed to be of much importance to my colleagues i find a little sanctuary in my boom box located under my desk and a blessing that my office isnt too close to anothers to be heard. Music always adds a little bit of excitement in my day and unlike my work, the songs cant go wrong.

Definitely a big thumbs up to all those offices encouraging music to make each day a little bit brighter :)

I like listening to anything on the radio except techno or house! We listen to the radio at work and it can definitely change the mood. It helps the day go faster. A
